Nightly Rack vs FargoRate LMS.
FargoRate's League Management System is the software behind BCA Pool League and USA Pool League play, and it feeds match results into Fargo ratings. Whether it makes sense for you comes down to one question: is your league going to sanction? Here is how the two compare, using FargoRate's public LMS page from September 2026.

If you are going to sanction, you still have a choice
A USA Pool League or BCA Pool League sanctioned league gets LMS for nothing, and every match feeds Fargo ratings without anyone lifting a finger. That is the whole case for it. LMS exists to collect results and rate players; running the league night is not what it was built for. Nightly Rack was: rack-by-rack phone scoring, a schedule generator that knows each bar's tables and closures, dues and match-night money on the same screen as the score, and season reports the admin does not have to assemble.
A sanctioned league on Nightly Rack still reports to BCA. The BCA Roster Report in the reports section builds the file BCA asks for, per team and player with weeks played, wins and losses for the season, and exports it as a CSV in one click. Email it to the league office and the sanctioning side is done. It is one extra step a session compared with LMS, in exchange for software the captains will actually use on a Tuesday night.
If you are staying independent, do the math
Most bar leagues never sanction. They have a handful of teams, a house handicap system and a treasurer with an envelope. For those leagues LMS costs $20 per player per year, so a 40-player league pays $800 a year for software. Nightly Rack costs $300 a year at any size, and there is nothing to collect from players. If the league decides to sanction later, nothing changes: the BCA Roster Report is already there, so the export BCA requires is a click rather than a spreadsheet project.
What Nightly Rack is built for
- A schedule generator that fits the season around real bars: table counts, closures and play dates.
- Printable scoresheets for the table plus rack-by-rack phone scoring, both feeding the same standings.
- House handicaps, 8-ball, 9-ball and 10-ball, and ball-count or games-won scoring, all set per league.
- Dues and match-night payment tracking so the money is written down the same night it is collected.
- Standings, player stats and season reports that need no spreadsheet.
